Kickboxing

WHAT IS KICKBOXING?

Kickboxing is a stand-up form of combat that utilises kicking and punching. Kickboxing is practised for self-defence, general fitness or as a contact sport.

Our club a proudly part of the World Kickboxing and Karate Association (WKA), one of the oldest and largest governing bodies for amateur and professional kickboxing.

Light Continuous - Light continuous sparring is fast paced, light contact fighting on the mats. Fights are scored on the shots you land on your opponent. 

Ring Sports - Full contact fighting that takes part inside the boxing ring. Boxing, Kickboxing, Low Kick & K styles

Padwork - Putting together combinations of punches, kicks defensive techniques and movement with a partner. 

Bagwork - Working on the heavy bag is great for improving punching and kicking power as well as fitness and conditioning. 

Conditioning - A fighters fitness & conditioning is arguably the most important aspect of the sport. We push high levels of overall fitness through circuit training, heavybag work, bodyweight drills and conditioned rounds of sparring.
